Round 2 Shanti Gelmi

Shanti Gelmi uses a multidisciplinary approach to explore the complexities of human connection and identity with a focus on the concealed, intangible elements which direct and normalise behaviour. She has become increasingly interested in weaving a sustainable approach to developing these ideas and materiality has become the focus of her process driven approach to art making.

Gelmi is an emerging artist who is strengthening her practice through participation in artist residencies and collaboration with other artists and organisations. She has completed several private commissions, won awards for her work and is represented in Edith Cowan University’s Art Collection.
