Home Barista - Back to Basics
Suitable for home users
So you have all the equipment at home and you love coffee, but getting that consistent cup of espresso is not as easy as it looks? We hear you. The science of coffee extraction is a skill we can't wait to teach you. We are a busy working roastery and we are open to the public. Our experienced and highly skilled barista trainers will introduce you to the basics and you'll learn "hands-on" the skills you need to make a consistent coffee every time. All skill levels and abilities are welcome. Be your own barista and make delicious coffee at home. Ask questions about your grind and explore coffee accessories. Be prepared to drink plenty of coffee on the day. Once you've completed this class, you'll be set to book our Latte Art.
Home Barista - Latte Art
Following on from our Barista Basics course, this two-hour latte art course will build upon your existing coffee preparation skills, teach you the art of milk texturing, and take your latte art to the next level.
Participants will learn:
Consistent milk texturing technique
How to achieve perfect micro-foam every time
basic Latte Art designs.
Master pouring techniques for consistency.
Recommended experience:
We recommend that students have previously completed our Barista Basics course prior to attending our Latte Art course.
Filter Brewing
Filter brewing is the new black! There are many brew devices on the market including AeroPress, MoccaMaster, CCD, Chemex and more. We love roasting, brewing, and drinking filter coffee. Our team is very excited to bring to our community this step-by-step practical class on how to make filter coffee. Come and enjoy our purpose-built training space and gain a comprehensive understanding of grind size and devices for home and build on your knowledge of coffee. A great for those who want to broaden their understanding of coffee
Barista Training - School Groups
We offer Barista Training for schools here on-site at Leaf Bean Machine and can accommodate 10 students on our commercial equipment for their hands-on learning experience. A dedicated trainer will cover the fundamentals of coffee in our purpose-built training room and take students through the theory and the science involved in the perfect pour. Students will have access to a coffee station and will put their newly learned knowledge to use on leading industry equipment. To check available dates please contact us.
Barista Training - Corporate & Groups
Who doesn't love an event that involves free coffee? If you are looking for team-building that involves caffeine, we have you covered. Whether you’re looking for an in-house team-building event or want to entertain clients with a day of coffee tasting, we can run corporate coffee training courses for Perth-based groups of up to 15 people. Not just reserved for corporate groups, we also do training for smaller groups and family groups. Let us tailor your next alcohol free event.
Barista Training - Coffee for Classes
We are passionate about coffee and about helping others, so we have combined the two! Four times a year, we offer free barista training courses to community groups that are involved with teenagers at risk. Education and experience are essential and our students will learn the fundamentals, and theory and put their learned skills to work with hands-on training.
