These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and your purchase of our products and services.

By accessing our website or purchasing from us, you agree to these terms.

About Us

Leaf Bean Machine is a specialty coffee roastery and tea supplier operating from 1/12 Horus Bend, Bibra Lake, Western Australia 6163.
We provide wholesale coffee and tea, retail sales, commercial coffee equipment, barista training courses, and equipment servicing throughout Western Australia.

General Terms

  • Acceptance of Terms

    By using our website, placing an order, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have parental consent to make purchases.

  • Changes to Terms

    We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Subsequently, changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Online Shop - Retail Sales

  • Product Information

    We make every effort to display our coffee, tea, and products accurately. However, colours and images may vary slightly from actual products. Additionally, coffee flavour profiles are subject to natural variations in beans.

  • Pricing

    All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated. Meanwhile, we reserve the right to change prices without notice, though orders already placed will honour the original price.

  • Orders and Payment

    Once you place an order, you’ll receive an email confirmation. Consequently, this confirms we’ve received your order but doesn’t constitute acceptance.

    We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion. Payment must be made at the time of order via our accepted payment methods. Moreover, you warrant that you have the legal right to use any payment method provided.

  • Delivery

    Standard delivery times apply to Perth metropolitan and Western Australian regional areas. While we aim to deliver within stated timeframes, delays may occur. Furthermore, delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Risk passes to you upon delivery. Therefore, you’re responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the order.

Wholesale Coffee Services

  • Wholesale Accounts

    Wholesale accounts are available to cafés, restaurants, and businesses. To establish an account, you must complete our wholesale application and meet our minimum order requirements.

  • Minimum Orders

    Minimum order quantities apply to wholesale customers for free shipping. Additionally, pricing is based on volume and frequency of orders as outlined in your wholesale agreement.

  • Quality Guarantee

    We roast our specialty coffee fresh to order. Consequently, we guarantee the quality and freshness of our beans. If you’re not satisfied with the quality, contact us within 7 days of delivery for a resolution.

  • Delivery Terms

    Wholesale deliveries are made according to your agreed schedule. Furthermore, we offer free delivery within specified Perth areas for orders meeting minimum requirements.

Coffee Equipment Sales

  • New Equipment

    New commercial coffee machines and grinders are sold with manufacturer warranties.Additionally, we provide installation support and initial training as part of the purchase where applicable.

  • Re-built Equipment

    Re-bulit equipment is thoroughly inspected, serviced, and tested by our qualified technicians. Moreover, all re-built machines come with a three-month warranty covering parts and labour.

  • Equipment Warranty Exclusions

    Warranties don’t cover damage from misuse, negligence, unauthorised repairs, or normal wear and tear. Furthermore, warranties are void if the equipment is modified or serviced by non-authorised technicians.

Equipment Servicing and Repairs

  • Service Terms

    We provide coffee machine servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout Western Australia. Our qualified technicians conduct all work to industry standards.

  • Service Pricing

    Service costs depend on the nature of work required. Initially, we provide quotes for major repairs before proceeding. Standard service call-out fees apply.

  • Parts and Labour

    Parts are warranted for three months from installation. Subsequently, labour is warranted for 30 days. We use genuine or quality equivalent parts where possible.

  • Customer Responsibilities

    You must provide safe access to equipment and notify us of any hazards. Additionally, regular maintenance is your responsibility, and failure to maintain equipment may void warranties.

Barista Training Courses

  • Course Bookings

    Training courses must be booked and paid for in advance. Subsequently, confirmation will be sent via email with course details and location.

  • Cancellations and Rescheduling

    You may cancel or reschedule with 7 days’ notice for a full refund or credit. Cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice forfeit 50% of the course fee. Furthermore, cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable.

  • Course Conduct

    Participants must follow safety instructions and treat equipment with care. We reserve the right to remove disruptive participants without refund.

  • Corporate and Custom Training

    Custom training packages for businesses are subject to separate terms outlined in your training agreement.

Returns and Refunds

  • Change of Mind – Retail

    Unopened retail products may be returned within 14 days for a refund or exchange, minus restocking fees. However, coffee and tea products are non-returnable once opened due to food safety regulations.

  • Faulty Products

    If products are faulty or don’t match their description, contact us within 7 days of receipt. Consequently, we’ll arrange collection and provide a replacement, credit, or refund as appropriate under Australian Consumer Law.

  • Wholesale Returns

    Wholesale returns are subject to your wholesale agreement terms. Generally, returns require prior authorisation and are subject to restocking fees.

  • Non-Returnable Items

    Opened food products, custom-ordered equipment, and services already rendered are non-returnable. Additionally, perishable goods cannot be returned.

Limitation of Liability

  • Consumer Guarantees

    Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under consumer law.

  • Coffee Equipment Use

    You’re responsible for proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

    Moreover, improper use may void warranties and we’re not liable for injuries or damages resulting from misuse.

  • Liability Limits

    To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to:

    Replacing or repairing goods
    Supplying equivalent goods
    Refunding the purchase price

    Furthermore, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our products or services.

Intellectual Property

  • All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is our property or that of our licensors. Additionally, you may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.

    Our coffee blend names, Karvan Coffee, Leaf Bean Machine, and associated branding are our trademarks. Therefore, unauthorised use is prohibited.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Furthermore, by using our services, you consent to this collection and use.

    We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Force Majeure

  • We’re not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These include natural disasters, strikes, supplier failures, transport disruptions, or government actions.

Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Subsequently, any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Western Australian courts.

Dispute Resolution

  • If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email protected] or (08) 9418 4877. We’ll make reasonable efforts to resolve issues promptly. Meanwhile, if we cannot reach an agreement, you may seek resolution through the Australian Consumer Law or relevant dispute resolution bodies.

Severability

  • If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Additionally, the invalid provision will be modified to reflect the parties’ intentions as closely as possible.
