Single Origin

Our Karvan Coffee Roasters source some of the best coffee beans of the season. These specialty coffee beans are from one lot, one farm or one geographical area. Ultimately, it is our mission as coffee roasters to showcase these specialty single origin coffee beans. So our aim is to highlight the unique characteristics of the geographical region.

Do we sell Fairtrade or organic beans?

The answer is yes, sometimes. We don’t like to limit ourselves or the producers to these restrictions. Green bean brokers who have a strong relationship and connection with origin are often committed to growers. They feel strongly about showcasing and supporting small growers and their microlot coffees.

They are often going far beyond Fairtrade and organic certification standards. In both cases the costs associated are fairly overwhelming. Costs which can be hard to justify for a farmer who is trying to put food on the table for his family.
