Round 2 Malcolm Hundley

Malcolm Hundley’s art is inspired by the built environment and features mostly industrial and architectural scenes of his home town, Fremantle. Depending upon the subject, his paintings vary between a relaxed, almost abstract style and hard edge realism. There is often an optimistic and celebratory tone to his artworks through his depiction of the places others have created to work and live. Some of his work focuses on the marks others have left behind in the form of sign writing and graffiti. Overall, his work is an attempt to chronicle aspects of the urban environment that resonate with the viewer, either through a sense of familiarity or through the composition of a thought-provoking subject.
