Kristy is a self-taught, mixed-media emerging artist with a passion for acrylic painting, watercolour, and sculptural forms. Recently launching krisart.com.au, she’s placed greater focus on her art practice as a meditative escape from daily life. Her work celebrates animals and bright colours, believing bold hues invoke joy and happiness.

Her art cup features “Whatcha Lookin’ At,” created in 2021 while exploring her creative identity. Rather than pursuing a defined “style,” Kristy creates whatever inspires her. This piece showcases her love of animals through patterns and geometric forms, balancing fun brightness with artistic exploration.

Initially experiencing imposter syndrome after submitting her work, Kristy was overjoyed when selected for this project. She’s grateful that countless people will hold her artwork, hoping it brings smiles. For Kristy, art’s power lies in bringing people together, providing self-expression, and supporting mental wellness. It’s never too late to start sharing your creativity with the universe.
