Based in Narrogin, Western Australia, Casey graduated with a BFA (Distinction) from Curtin University in 2013 and studied oil painting at The Art Academy, Adelaide, in 2019-2020. As business manager of Arts Narrogin, she connects community through arts experiences while maintaining her studio practice and private commissions.
Casey’s figurative realist oil paintings, rooted in old master techniques, invite quiet introspection and respite from our constantly ‘switched on’ world. Her keenly observed, highly detailed works have earned recognition as a finalist in prestigious awards, including the 2020 Bluethumb Art Prize, Boynes Emerging Artist Award, and semi-finalist in the 15th ARC Salon (2021).
Her solo exhibitions “Quietude” (2019) and “Ephemera” (2020) showcase her contemplative approach. Casey’s work is held in private collections across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and Germany. Remarkably, her artwork “Reminisce” was selected for The Nova Collection time capsule, archived on the Moon via NASA’s CLPS-TO2-IM mission in February 2024.
