Gina is a Perth-based botanical artist who creates vibrant paintings of Western Australian flora. Her work focuses on close-up compositions that showcase the beautiful shapes, colours, and textures of native plants, particularly eucalyptus and corymbia species. She travels extensively around WA with her camera, capturing wildflowers and native trees from locations like Esperance, Dunsborough, and Albany.
Her piece “Holiday Blossom” features corymbia flowers discovered during a family trip to Esperance, where she photographed over 100 different flowers. Gina is fascinated by the complete lifecycle of plants, incorporating both vibrant blooms and weathered leaves into her compositions to show nature’s full story.
Her artwork is displayed in galleries across WA, including venues in Albany, Kojonup, Exmouth, and Subiaco. Gina believes art is everywhere in daily life and encourages others to explore their creativity. She finds inspiration close to home in her garden, neighbours’ gardens, and local spots like Kings Park, proving that artistic inspiration is accessible to everyone.
