About Karvan Seasonal Blends
Each season, our roasters Marte and Savannah craft a premium blend with the season’s most delicious, exciting and unique beans. It’s a lengthy process that’s always in the background. Even with this current Seasonal release, our team is already brainstorming the next one!
Seasonal Blend #1 has been described as Marte and Savannah’s “passion project.” Behind the scenes, the roasters dedicate immense time and work to constructing the Blend. And they love every moment.

What makes the Seasonal different?
To put it simply, this blend is truly special. Our roasters keep the beans fresh, current, premium and always popping with flavour. Constantly evolving, you’ll be delighted with a new experience with each release.
A unique feature of our coffee roastery is the big cool room that sits next to the roasting room. Last year, we built this cool room with specific intentions to create a controlled environment for our green beans. With the cool room, we’re able to control moisture and temperature, allowing us to hold on to the purity of premium green beans. All the green beans in our Seasonal are stored here.
About the new Seasonal Blend
Taste notes dried apricot, fig jam & nutmeg.
Mainly a washed, processed blend with 20% being a natural process. Marte and Savannah have added a small percentage of natural coffee as it delights the cup with lively fruit notes that lift the Blend with berry sweetness.
Each origin chosen for this blend has been selected carefully. It’s a process of elimination drawn out over many weeks and many cupping sessions. There’s a huge selection of potential candidates that didn’t make the cut, some coffees by tiny margins.

Why did we choose these origins?
Before the team sources the green beans, they have a vision for what they want the Blend to offer.
“We aim to make each Seasonal different from the last. The beans we’ve selected here stood out as exceptional in their own right.”
“And, as a blend, they deliver a flavour and quality that is required for producing Seasonal Blend #1.”
Here are the three origins that were selected for the new Seasonal Blend #1.
India Pearl Mountain
This India showcases the true high-quality flavours capable of single origins. Balancing rich and bold nutty notes with creamy chocolate sweetness. This single origin will bring great depth to the blend, especially with milk in mind.
A delectable combination of chocolate, hazelnut, and creamy-textured mouthfeel with a spice finish.
Colombia El Indio Natural
A tropical boozy dream fresh out of Colombia. Think pineapple, papaya and mango. Rich in flavour and aroma, this bean is the life of the party. We’ve featured this bean previously. However, we’re introducing more of this flavour profile to the Blend, which is perfectly balanced with the other beans.
Some might remember a few years ago a combination of Seasonal Blend #1 beans with washed Kenya present. A previous killer blend it was! This time, we’re making more space for this Kenyan with a larger percentage present. We are really leaning in on the berry sweetness and apricot flavours this bean holds. For this blend, we are so happy to have secured this bean as our heavy lifter.
Together, these beans balance, harmonise and shine – delivering an exquisite cup for every coffee lover.
