Coffee Meets Art – The Sound of Bells by Sarah Eve
We’re thrilled to introduce The Sound of Bells by Western Australian artist Sarah Eve, featured on our Round 5 Karvan Art Cup.
Sarah’s artwork is inspired by Bell Gorge, a breathtaking waterfall in the Kimberley region where water tumbles over ancient sandstone into tranquil pools. “Standing there, you hear nature’s own orchestra – the rush of water, the birds, the whispering trees,” Sarah says. Her painting captures this harmony through the interplay of warm ochres and cool blues, expressing both the ruggedness and serenity of the landscape.
The Sound of Bells holds special significance for Sarah as one of her first works in her now-signature Abstract Realism style. The panoramic composition was a perfect fit for a cup design, wrapping the scene so you can take in the cascading waterfall with every turn. It’s a moment of stillness and connection – an invitation to pause and reflect, much like your morning coffee ritual.
