White Tea, Acai & Coconut

What is white tea?

The buds and first two leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant are harvested to produce this exceptional tea.  After picking, tea is sun dried or naturally dried indoors. The leaves have many shades of green with silvery white leaf-tips and receive minimal processing.  This gentle and careful process carries through to the flavour of the cup which is delicate and elegant and extremely cleansing.

Add to this scrumptious tea, acai (pronounced ah-sigh-ee), a small purple fruit from South America known for its health benefits.  For instance, Acai is nutrient dense and high in antioxidants and Vitamin C.  It has a natural sweetness with a hint of bitterness not unlike some of its berry counterparts.  Combined with the natural sweetness of coconut and the elegance of the tea leaves we think you will agree that the result is divine.

Not sure how to brew it?

For your enjoyment, we recommend brewing your tea using the following recipe:

• 2.5g (1 teaspoon) of loose leaf tea or 1 teabag per cup
• 240ml filtered water, 75 to 80 degrees C from  a temperature controlled kettle
• Steep for 2 to 3 minutes or longer if you enjoy a bolder flavour
• Remove leaves to prevent further steeping
