Perth Breakfast

The recipe for our Perth Breakfast black loose leaf tea was inspired by our owners love for black tea with lemon. Tea fanatics everywhere are lucky that Brad’s wife Fleur decided to spoil him. She created this tea with him in mind.

As a tea supplier, we blend teas imported from India and Sri Lanka to create this premium quality breakfast tea.

For your enjoyment, we recommend brewing your black loose leaf tea using the following recipe:

  • 2.5g (1 teaspoon) of loose leaf tea
  • 240ml filtered water, 100 degrees C from  a temperature controlled kettle
  • Steep for 2 to 3 minutes or longer if you enjoy a bolder flavour
  • Remove leaves to prevent further steeping

Ingredients: Black tea (Camellia sinesis) Australian Lemon Myrtle

If Perth Breakfast tea lasts long enough in your pantry you will want to store it properly for best results.

If you find that your cup or pot of tea tastes bitter then you have more than likely brewed it for too long and we recommend that you definitely remove the leaves or teabag to help avoid this problem.  The question many people ask us is “should milk go in first or last” and we think there is a blog in that.
