Pure Tea & ELIA Collaboration
This Christmas, Pure Tea are excited to announce a special collaboration with Perth local business ELIA. For the many who have used ELIA balms and blends before, you will already know how nurturing their products are. For those who are yet to discover this beauty brand, you’re in for a memorable and luxurious experience.
We first discovered ELIA when visiting Fremantle’s Zero Store (in the Mother building). Amongst the wide array of products, ELIA stood out. Their minimalist design and thoughtful range of beauty products caught our attention. Plus, ELIA is all crafted by hand right here in Perth! We were in awe.
After using their balms and deodorants for some time, we dreamed of making a Pure Tea lip balm.
After chatting with ELIA’s owners Mia (the creator and nose) and Jane (who wears the business hat) we discovered we shared the goal to offer high-quality & 100% natural products to Perth and Australia.
Our dreams have been made true.
Introducing: Mrs Grey lip balm
It’s with great excitement that we announce the release of ELIA’s latest lip balm, MRS GREY. Infused with our Mrs Grey tea, this is a special lip treatment that seeks to nourish with cocoa butter, restore with essential oils and calm with Pure Tea’s Mrs Grey.
We sat down with ELIA’s owners Mia and Jane (with a cup of tea in hand), to pick their brains on ELIA’s philosophy.

Who/what is ELIA?
ELIA is a West Australian family-run business that provides high-quality, natural and trusted body products.
What does ELIA mean?
The word ELIA is a combination of letters from our family names. This name communicates togetherness, simplicity, and quality. A name we chose to be easily recognised that will stand the test of time through every journey ELIA will forge.
When did it begin?
Our first farmers’ market in February 2019 was an exciting milestone where we presented our first range of products to the public. But the journey started 2 years before then when we perfected a natural deodorant we could rely on. We had tried so many that just didn’t work. To our delight, many others now rely on our first range that we still make and use ourselves daily.
Why?
Our why is very clear and hasn’t changed since we went to that first market.
- People deserve to have a choice of body products they can trust.
- We believe more quality natural products need to be on the market.
- We saw next to no leading companies with transparent ingredients lists, 100% natural plant-based products with no synthetic fragrance.
We don’t want you to compromise when going naturally.
What is your business philosophy?
To be honest, transparent, steady and trustworthy.
We value high quality and achieve this with care and determination. We create what we would be happy to use in our own lives.
What were your first thoughts when you received this project with Pure Tea?
At first, we were really excited to work with another local Perth business with such high-quality products, who also possess a masterful approach to their business.
Then, the challenge of the creative process enticed us. Which tea to choose, how to infuse it properly, which oils to blend and how will we honour the other product? This became a captivating undertaking.
What we have enjoyed immensely about the collaboration is working with Isabel and truly sharing the process. It has been such a considerate and generous relationship. Having that outside eye, thought, idea, or opinion has enriched the outcome. It also pushed us to do something different, which is always good for creativity.
We hope Pure Tea has gained as much from the creation process as we have.
Why did you choose Mrs Grey?
Mrs Grey wasn’t the obvious choice however, the nuances of smell and taste in this tea really set our creativity on fire. We wanted something surprising yet comforting and a little sophisticated.
Once the tea was infused and the select blend of essential oils matched, we knew we had a winner. The colour and texture of the tea naturally added richness and depth to the new creation.
What is your favourite cup of tea to drink?
Jane – Any quality strong black tea with a little (nut) milk. I can dabble in herbal teas but always come back to the comfort of a black leaf tea that I remember my grandma making.
Mia – I’m much more attracted to diversity and will try any tea. I love to mix blends and revel in the small nuances of flavour and smell. But always without milk, always at that perfect strength, and poured into little teacups from the teapot.
What do you love most about creating beauty products?
What gives us the most joy is when we get genuine feedback from our customers about how our creations have improved their life and ended their search for their favourite natural products. So I guess what we love most is when we add value to others’ lives and add more goodness to the world.
