As part of Prepare Produce Provide‘s international sandwich and teas from around the world workshop, the Pure Tea team were asked to match loose leaf tea to a range of delicious high tea sandwiches. Home Economics teachers from all over WA attended the session and were treated to a day of tea and sandwich preparation.
The teachers participated in a tea tasting and Fleur gave a talk on the different tea types, how to store your tea and the best brewing methods for each tea. Chef Stuart Laws took the group through a wonderful sandwich tutorial learning the delicious art of high tea sandwich preparation.Tea and Sandwich Workshop Menu
Buddha’s Tears – Chicken avocado pinwheels on brown bread
Pai Mu Tan – Smoked salmon and beetroot on rye bread and cucumber sandwiches on white bread
Japanese Morning Dew – Ham and egg open sandwich on baguette
English Breakfast Premium – Pumpkin goats cheese and feta on brown breadThe workshop concluded with a high tea, where teachers were able to sample their culinary creations and enjoy a lovely cup (or two!) of Pure Tea English Breakfast Premium.
