Gunpowder Green – A tiny pellet that expands into a long leaf when steeped. Excellent as a hot brew or serve iced with apple and mint.
Low in caffeine and high in antioxidants.
A must for every tea collection.
Gunpowder Green tea – 125g
When brewed, this tea has an original slightly grassy taste with a very strong and tangy aroma. If too strong, you may pour away the first brew, and re-infuse the leaves, or serve with mint for a delightfully refreshing brew.
Not sure how to brew it? This is the recipe that we follow for the best brew: 3-4 minutes, heat the water to 85-90 degrees Celsius in a temperature controlled kettle, 2.5gm or 1 teaspoon per cup. You can reuse the tea leaves up to 2-3 times and then pop them in the compost or worm farm.
Ingredients: Green tea leaves, tightly rolled to resemble gunpowder pellets (hence the name!)
