The Republic of Panama is a transcontinental country (a nation that resides in more than one continent). With Costa Rica to the West and Colombia to the South-East, Panama is located in a renowned coffee-growing pocket.

Panama produces some of the highest quality coffee beans in the world. If you haven’t tried Panama coffee before now is your chance. For a limited time only we’re offering these beans from our Perth roastery.

Varietal

Panama has become famous for growing the coffee varietal Geisha. In recent years, Panama Geisha has won countless awards, becoming a highly sought-after bean. Alongside Geisha, the region offers exceptional coffee plant varietals such as Typica, Bourbon, Catuai and Caturra. With these particular Panama coffee beans, we’re spoiled with the juicy and flavoursome Caturra varietal.

Process

What makes these beans especially interesting is the black winey process. Coffee cherries are picked when the fruit is darker and riper. This process offers a medium – high acidity to the cup and a mouth-watering juiciness that leaves you wanting more.

Farm

Farmed by the Hartmann family. They have been growing coffee since the early 1900s. Now, Raitbor Hartmann from the family’s third generation runs operations with his four siblings. The family are very close and work well together, all sharing a deep passion for coffee.

Flavour

The perfect balance of nuttiness, smooth chocolate and sweet dried plum. We’ve roasted these beans for all brewing methods.
