Single Origin Filter Indonesia Jaya Tani is grown in Sumatra in Jambi, Kerinci Regency. This area is renowned for amazing coffee with it’s rich soils and lush landscapes.
The coffee is grown by 380 members of the Koerintji Barokah Bersama co-op. These farmers cultivate over 200 hectares of this majesticrain forest landscape and their commitment to quality has seen them incorporate an agroforestry system that shades the coffee plants. Once the fruit is harvested it undergoes 8 days of fermentation where it is stored in plastic bags and flipped twice a day.
What is so special about Singles? Single-origin coffees are small-batch roasts from a specific growing area within a country. Have a look at your coffee beans to see where they’ve come from. Even more specific is a microlot coffee, which comes from only one growing area or plot on a single farm. Singles and microlots allow the consumer to understand and appreciate a specific coffee for its own unique flavour profile and distinct characteristics. They also help to establish traceability from farm to cup.
Karvan Single Origin Coffee is very special and always experimental – Have you tried the blue bags? Only the best for our coffee drinkers. Let us know what you think? Our team is happy to talk coffee and help you get the best out of yours.
