New Espresso Single OriginKenya Murarandia AA is an exciting and standout coffee from small scale farming co-op.

This complex microlot coffee comes to us from the New Murarandia Farmers’ Co-Operative Society which has approximately 1200 members farming in Muranga County.  Each farmer owns about 1/5th to 1/3rd of a hectare and so the process of farming the coffee is small scale and high attention to detail. Kenyan coffees are hard to source this year. As roasters, we are always keen to stock Kenyan coffee because of its uniqueness. A very high-grade AA coffee that has definitive taste notes and is unmistakability Kenyan mouthfeels.

What is so special about Singles? Single-origin coffees are small-batch roasts from a specific growing area within a country. 

Have a look at your coffee beans to see where they’ve come from. Even more specific is a microlot coffee, which comes from only one growing area or plot on a single farm. Singles and microlots allow the consumer to understand and appreciate a specific coffee for its own unique flavour profile and distinct characteristics. They also help to establish traceability from farm to cup.
