Karvan Coffee El Salvador Los Nogales
This coffee from Finca Los Nogales was grown by Jose Antonio Salaverria. The Salaverria family are fifth generation coffee farmers and grow coffee across a number of estates that they have either inherited or bought over the last few years.
Their selective hand picking on the farms and secondary sorting prior to processing leads to a superb quality coffee.
Most of the pickers come to the farms from the surrounding communities and have direct involvement in quality standard on the farm for which they are rewarded with good rates of pay, an improved quality of life and welfare of the families.
The coffee cherries are then processed at the central mill, Las Cruces with the highest degree of care and attention.
This family reserve lot is farmed at 1200-1500 masl on the Los Nogales estate situated in the department of Ahuachapán and in the region of Apaneca, Ilamatepec.
Coffees from El Salvador display typical Central American characteristics – mild acidity, soft, sweet and light body with roasted nut and praline flavours. This coffee is particularly delicious with a delicate, alluring perfumed aroma and balanced sweet cup. Ideal for all brewing methods.
