STICKY CARAMEL | HAZELNUT | RED APPLE
Just released – Seasonal Blend #1 is here, and we. are. readddyy! As usual… No time for goodbyes. Blend 1 of yesterday is gone, finished and we are only looking forward. So let’s take a look at the blend and see what the individual origins bring to the trio. The successor of our seasonal originates from India, Guatemala and Ethiopia. This coffee has been awarded Bronze by Golden Bean Australasia so you are in for a real treat!
India Tiger Mountain
Region: Bababudan
Processing: Washed
Varietal: SL795, SL9 & Cauvery
Baseline for the blend right here.
Marte, Head Roaster
Velvety rich with earthy notes and spice on the front palate. Followed by caramel and a soft nutty expression. This is a low acidity bean with a big presence, great for depth that will cut through milk. Fully washed bean that also has a great project behind it where funds generated from the sale go to saving the endangered Bengal Tiger.
Guatemala Atitlan San Pablo
Region: Sololá
Processing: Washed
Varietal: Mixed
Sweet, crisp and fruit driven bean from this smallholder group in Sololá, Atitlan. In our new blend this bean plays the role of harmonizer adding a crisp sweetness that compliments the
Indian and Ethiopian characteristics. This group of several small scale family growers is called San Pablo La Laguna. Together they grow lots in highly desired volcanic soils.
Ethiopia Chelbessa
Region: Yirgacheffe
Processing: Natural
Varietal: Heirloom Ethiopian
This naturally processed bean really brings that little cherry on the top moment to the blend. The coffee farmers in this region take their cherries to be processed at the Chelbessa Washing Station and here, they will be fully washed or, in this case, remain natural. A naturally processed bean ferments with the coffee cherry intact giving the bean a very sweet berry and floral
characteristic.
As always, our seasonal Blend 1 is here for a good time. Not a long time!
Each bean is of specialty grade and sourced from dedicated and passionate farmers. We work closely with our green bean suppliers to ensure the supply chain is transparent because we want you to purchase your seasonal blend and be confident that you’re supporting small businesses, family businesses, and sustainably farmed coffee.
