What makes Ethiopian coffee so good?
If you ask a coffee snob what their favourite origin is, there’s a high chance they’ll answer with “Ethiopia.”
What makes Ethiopian coffee so good is the origin’s high quality, consistency, and great variety. Each region differs greatly from the last and yet, always delivering exceptional flavour.
Farmed in Sidamo, this coffee has received ample rainfall and is gifted with steep mountainous terrain. This makes the land perfect for growing coffee cherries.
Brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo founded Daye Bensa, a coffee grower and exporter in Ethiopia. Daye Bensa exports coffee from its farm, in the Shantawene Village as well as from “out-growers” (or smallholders) villages.
Daye Bensa rewards the top three farmers from each of the three villages with certificates and premiums, recognizing them for consistently delivering high-quality cherries.
