If you ask a coffee snob what their favourite origin is, there’s a high chance they’ll answer with “Ethiopia.”
Ethiopian coffee has grown a commendable reputation for itself because of its high quality, consistency, and great variety. Each region in Ethiopia differs greatly from one another and yet, always delivering exceptional flavour.
Exploring Ethiopia filter coffee alone offers an enormous range of taste notes and experience.
Farmed in the Guji zone and Uraga District. Welichu Wachu is the producer of this high grown, elegant and sophisticated coffee. He draws all the coffees from one of the 36 grower co-operatives, each farmer cultivating coffee in what’s known locally as ‘coffee gardens’.
Each farmer grows roughly 1000 to 1800 trees per hectare, the plants are mostly fertilised with organic material and intercropped with various food crops. This type of farming accounts for roughly 50% of the coffee grown in the regions.
Sweet, uniform and clean. Orange, fudge brownie and floral notes teasing the palette. A creamy mouthfeel offers texture and smoothness to the brew. An outstanding bean for your next filter coffee.
