This is the second Burundi coffee we’re offering this season. Burundi has continued to impress our roastery with truly exceptional flavours. To celebrate this winter-romance, we’re presenting you with not one… but two Burundi beans. We have a filter option (Burundi Gisha Gatare) as well as an espresso bean (Burundi Gahahe). Although they’re from the same origin, they exhibit vastly different profiles. Try them both, and let us know which one your favourite is.
For coffee farms in Burundi, quality is everything. The Nation has dedicated nearly a century to mastering the farming of coffee.
From the picking, processing and sorting – every step of the way, only a premium product progresses to the next step.
Every lot is cupped and assessed by a team of expert cuppers at the farm before its release to roasters. When taste, body, aroma and overall experience scores highly – the washing stations distribute to green bean importers.
When our Perth Karvan roasters cupped these beans, they were taken aback. Caramell-y date, dried fruit and dark chocolate body. The brew was a definite stand out.
