Brad and I recently camped in Jarrahdale, Perth and it was freezing cold. Thanks to our Aeropress we were the envy of our neighbours when we started grinding and preparing our freshly roasted Karvan Small Batch Ethiopian Yirgacheffe brew.
Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee and it is believed that it all started with Kaldi the goat herder whose goats became horny and very active after they ate some berries off a nearby bush. Thankfully only our palates became active.
Think cinnamon toast and a well balanced finish. The dry-processed method that this Yirgacheffe has experienced leaves the fruit skin intact. This technique produces a very different, rustic flavour profile with thicker body mouth feel.Click here for Karvan Small Batch Yirgacheffe tasting notes for a delight in a cup which is well suited to most brewing methods. Whether the myth of Kaldi is true or not we believe some of the yummiest coffees are found in Ethiopia. Have you tried any? Love to hear about your cuppas, Fleur x
