The sun was shining and the water at Matilda Bay was sparkling. As guests arrived so too were the bubbles! Queen of Theme provided some quirky mismatched chairs for guests to sit on under the shade of an enormous fig tree. As it was a warm day we decided on a glass of Pure Tea Strawberry Champagne Iced Sencha to quench everyone’s thirst and wash away the bubbles. It was the perfect compliment to the finger food lovingly prepared by the talented Stock and LadleEvery High Tea needs to have a classic tea and so we kicked off with my favourite, Pure Tea English Breakfast premium. In the cup it is very aromatic and a lovely blend of Assam and Ceylon tea. Tea is a very personal experience and so we brewed the English Breakfast for the required 2 to 3 minutes and left everyone else to milk and sugar for themselves. After more canapes and chatter we surprised everyone’s palate with a Pure Tea Pai Mu Tan, a white tea to cleanse the palate with a subtle hint of spice. The finale of the day to compliment the cupcakes from Sweetharts Cupcakes was the Pure Tea Japanese Morning Dew. I decided to engage the senses and pass around a glass with some of the tea prior to brewing so that everyone could enjoy the potpourri sensational smell of the Japanese Morning Dew. Everyone was salivating and it was a big hit…..not nearly as much as they were with the cupcakes but who can compete with cake!
I had a lovely afternoon serving tea and especially seeing everyone enjoy it!
Until next time, Fleur x
