Introducing Scott
What's in your art cup? Tea or coffee?
I’m much more of a tea drinker, but I can’t pass up a nice hot chocolate.
Why this piece of artwork for the cup?
Although this fairy is enjoying a milkshake, the diner atmosphere was just perfect for a modern cafe. Couldn’t you see yourself sitting beside her with coffee in hand and enjoying a conversation as you look out the window?

"Couldn’t you see yourself sitting beside her with coffee in hand and enjoying a conversation as you look out the window"?
What is the story behind this piece of art?
I have always been a fan of Brian Froud ever since I saw The Labyrinth when I was little, so fairies and goblins have always had a place in my art and mind. I also love putting characters into positions that most people don’t think of, hence the idea of a 50’s Americana diner roller skater waitress… who is a fairy. This fairy has been having a particularly long shift, and finally she is getting a five-minute break and enjoying her favourite drink, a strawberry milkshake. She isn’t greedy, though, and if you are nice, she is happy to share.
What have you enjoyed about this project?
Not only do I enjoy the creation of the art and the thought process behind creating it, but the people I have had the pleasure to work with in making this cup come to fruition have been nothing short of perfect. I have always felt included and like I am a part of the process instead of just handing my artwork over and never hearing anything back. The added aspect of being a part of a series that many artists get to share and take part in is incredible. It can be difficult to get your art out to the public, so I am very grateful to everyone here, as well as very proud of every artist who has taken part and displayed their artwork in this unique and positive way.
Why is it important to support the arts?
Art is an essential part of the human experience. Everywhere you look, you see art; from the pages you look at on the internet to the signs on the street to the decoration of your own home, art is a part of everyone’s life. For those artists that don’t follow a
commercial career, support from the public makes all the difference. Even if it’s a simple message of appreciation, it holds so much encouragement that we could change the world with our art.
Where can people find your art?

I’m touring around the UK right now and creating art pieces as I go. I will have some items showing at MacGregor Fine Art Gallery in April and Belmont in August, and I am working on exhibition pieces that will be displayed in a solo exhibition early 2026.
